Scanning a document to email

  1. On the main screen on the copier, select Scan and Send.

  2. Choose One Touch on the next screen.

  3. On the next screen choose your name (or the name of the intended recipient, if it's not you). Then press OK to continue.

  4. On the subsequent screen you can choose the settings for your scan. The default options will be good for most documents, but you can also:
    A. Use one of a few presets that I've set up for a few different document types.
    B. Fine tune the settings yourself.

  5. If you select Favorite Settings, you will have a few options:
    B/W Doc: Good settings for a black and white or grayscale document, especially one with a mix of text and graphics
    Color Doc: Good settings for documents with color text, graphics or images.
    Photo: Will give a high quality, high resolution scan of a photo.
    B/W LQ Doc: This is a good setting for scanning a long, multipage document (10-20 pages or more) to keep the size of the file down. You probably won't use this very often.

  6. Once you have picked your settings, press the large green Start button to begin scanning.

  7. If the copier cannot sense the size of your document automatically, you may be asked to tell it what the paper size is.

  8. Once the scan has finished, you may need to press the Start Sending button to email the document to yourself.
