Frequently Asked Question
Scanning a document to email
Last Updated 7 years ago
- On the main screen on the copier, select Scan and Send.
- Choose One Touch on the next screen.
- On the next screen choose your name (or the name of the intended recipient, if it's not you). Then press OK to continue.
- On the subsequent screen you can choose the settings for your scan. The default options will be good for most documents, but you can also:
A. Use one of a few presets that I've set up for a few different document types.
B. Fine tune the settings yourself.
- If you select Favorite Settings, you will have a few options:
• B/W Doc: Good settings for a black and white or grayscale document, especially one with a mix of text and graphics
• Color Doc: Good settings for documents with color text, graphics or images.
• Photo: Will give a high quality, high resolution scan of a photo.
• B/W LQ Doc: This is a good setting for scanning a long, multipage document (10-20 pages or more) to keep the size of the file down. You probably won't use this very often.
- Once you have picked your settings, press the large green Start button to begin scanning.
- If the copier cannot sense the size of your document automatically, you may be asked to tell it what the paper size is.
- Once the scan has finished, you may need to press the Start Sending button to email the document to yourself.
